What makes HemWise different from other uniform stores?
HemWise is a local, family-run school uniform shop based in Frederick, MD. We focus on quality, comfort, and growth-friendly designs so uniforms last longer. Plus, we’re open year-round—not just back-to-school season.
How do I know which size to order?
Each product page includes a detailed size chart. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to stop by our store to try items on.
Do your uniforms allow for growth?
Yes! Many of our items feature adjustable waists, longer hems, and flexible fits so your child can get more wear out of each piece.
Orders & Shipping
Does HemWise offer local delivery?
Yes! We offer local delivery within a 12-mile radius of our store at 1828 Rosemont Avenue, Suite E, Frederick, MD 21702.
How much does delivery cost?
Local delivery is free on orders of $200 or more after discounts and before tax.
How do I select local delivery?
Choose Local Delivery at checkout. This option appears when your delivery address and order qualify.
When will my order arrive?
We make local deliveries on a scheduled day each week. Once your complete order is ready, we’ll contact you with your delivery estimated window.
Do I need to be home?
No. We can leave your order in a safe location with your permission. Please include any gate codes, apartment details, or drop-off instructions at checkout.
What if I live outside the delivery area?
You can choose shipping or free store pickup at checkout. For larger school or group orders, contact us to discuss delivery arrangements.

Why don’t I see the Local Delivery option at checkout?
The option may not appear if:
- Your address is outside the delivery area
- Local delivery is temporarily unavailable
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! We offer free shipping on orders over $200. You can also choose free in-store pickup or Local Delivery.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. Currently, we ship within the U.S. only.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
Unworn, unwashed items in original packaging may be returned within 90 days of purchase. Embroidered and clearance items are final sale. See our [Refund Policy] for full details.
How do I start a return?
